- Early Ripening Mandarin
- One of the earliest mandarins to ripen- October to December
- Vigorous tree and early maturity.
- Sweet and juicy fruit with a mild tanginess.
- Smaller fruit than Owari Satsuma but sweeter and more flavorful.
- Thin and easy to peel skin an seedless fruit.
- Self-fertile. May produce seeds if cross pollinated with other citrus.
- Very Cold Hardy- Tree is hardy to 20F though fruit can suffer damage if the temperature drops below freezing .
- Best for Zones 9-11
- For Zones 4-7, you can grow this tree in a pot and bring it indoors for the winter.
- Grafted onto semi-dwarf rootstock.
- Height at maturity: 10'-15' in the ground/ 6'-8' in pots
