IV Organic 3-in-1 Plant Guard (GREIGE) for trees and shrubs, (such as Fruit & Nut Trees, Ornamental Trees, Roses & Shrubs). Used by home gardeners and orchard growers to protect tree trunks and branches from sunburn (summer), sunscald (winter), repel insects and rodents. This product is organic, non-toxic & environmentally safer.
FIRST DEFENSE: Provides a shield against the sun's harmful rays that cause sunburn during the hottest summer days– as well as sunscald which is caused when the temperature abruptly rises too high during the cold winter months. Both Sunburn and Sunscald cause the tree’s bark to crack and/ or die– resulting in additional stress which gets compounded by insects and parasites that enter the barkless wood.
SECOND DEFENSE: Provides a shield against beetles, termites, and other wood-boring insects. This product contains 7 natural oils that are time-released over several months offering your coated plants protection from hundreds of types of insects that are repelled by the scents of garlic, rosemary, peppermint, cedarwood, clove, cinnamon, and castor.
THIRD DEFENSE: Provides a shield against rodents; such as rats, moles, voles, gophers, and rabbits that may gnaw on the tree’s bark. This product contains castor oil, which comes from the Castor Tree Seed, and naturally makes everything coated with this product taste horrible! This product when applied to your prized trees should repel most rodents.
CAN CONTENTS: 1 bag powder & 1 oil vial.
RECOMMENDED APPLICATION: Up to (3x) times per year for maximum repellent protection against insects and rodents. One coat per year may be sufficient protection from sun damage.
BRUSH ON DIRECTIONS: 1) ADD POWDER AND OIL VIAL CONTENTS TO THE CAN. 2) FILL THE CAN NEAR THE TOP WITH WATER. 3) STIR WELL. 4) ADD MORE WATER, IF NECESSARY TO HAVE A FULL CAN OF PRODUCT. 5) STIR EVERY 5-10 MINUTES WHILE USING THIS PRODUCT TO ENSURE UNIFORMITY OF CONTENTS WHILE APPLYING PRODUCT TO TREE TRUNK AND BRANCHES. 6) APPLY WITH A PAINTBRUSH. CONTENTS PROPERLY PREPARED PRODUCTS SHOULD HAVE THE CONSISTENCY OF A 50% DILUTED PAINT. ONE PINT CAN OF MIXED PAINT COVERS THE TRUNKS AND BRANCHES OF 5-10 ENTRY/PREMIUM TREES.

IDEAL APPLICATION AT TIME OF TRANSPLANTING PLANTS AND TREES & TIMES OF EXTREME WEATHER. MAKES A 23 OZ SPRAY BOTTLE BY ADDING 1/3 TO 1/2 TEASPOON POWDER, WITH 5-10 DROPS OF OIL, ADD WATER. FILTER PRODUCT THROUGH STRAINER FIRST TO AVOID THE POSSIBILITY OF CLOGGING. ONE 23 OZ SPRAY BOTTLE WILL COVER 5-10 ENTRY/PREMIUM TREES WITH A SINGLE COAT.
TREE PASTE DIRECTIONS: ADD 1/4 CUP (2 OZ) OF WATER TO CAN CONTENTS. STIR WELL.
USE RESTRICTIONS:
Always test a small area and wait a few days to ensure damage does not occur. First-year bark growth on some plant species is typically too waxy for good adhesion of this product, requiring second and third coats to accomplish full coverage. Do not consume this product. If the product gets into the eyes, flush immediately with running water for at least 15 minutes. Wearing gloves is recommended to avoid the possibility of skin irritation.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL:
It is recommended that you only mix what you intend to use on the same day. Unused liquid (mixed) product may be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks, or frozen for up to 2 years. Powder that has not been mixed may be stored in a cool and dry area for up to 5 years.
